A 4.5 hour bus ride has taken us from Dubrovnik to Split; the trip is a feast for the eyes, traveling through little villages along shear cliff faces with the most gorgeous scenery.

We arrived I Split and were immediately disappointed that we had left Dubrovnik. Split is a city of about 200,000 people so is a little grubby and very hot.

We met a lady at the bus station who offered us accommodation, a bedroom basically, very reasonable price, but we discovered was without air-conditioning! But we think we may be able to survive for a couple of nights.

We are going to try and get on a trip to one of the national parks today, all we could get on Sunday was information so I am off early to try and book us on the tour.
