Sea Gypsies
The trees are different here. More stunted and twisted but very Australian looking. I guess it is the extremes of weather from searing heat in summer to the bracing chill blown in from the Southern Ocean that makes them hardy. And the houses we drove by are different too. Low set, red brick with a sparse but hardy garden, mostly of lawn, with a low brick fence & letterbox.
That was until we drove into Sanctuary Lakes where our dear friends live, complete with a strange, lop-eared blow in fluffy rabbit - Bunny. More like a Noosa Waters with lakes and waterways dotted with black swans & their cygnets, the houses here are large on the Lego scale. Darkness is falling and so is the mercury! I'll explore tomorrow!
