Hello, Sorry its been so long and its going to have to be quick as im on my lunch break, i'm not loving the new website!!!
Well so much has happened, since melbourne we went over to Manly which is about half an hour on a ferry from sydney. Plan A was to find work over there and settle for a few months but in the 3 days we spent there it proved very difficult. Its a very small beach town so jobs were limited and unfortunately the flats we viewed while there were very expensive and small. I'm not sure if it was just the weather that put a dampner on the place as it rained the whole weekend but we decided to leave Manly and move back to Sydney for PLAN b. We knew we would find a place and jobs straight away back in the city and we were right as after just 1 day of moving back we had moved into an apartment over Darling Harbour and both starting work the next weeks. We share the flat with an Irish couple called James and Carol, they are lovely, its a little hard to understand them at times especially after a few bevvies but they are very laid back and like to have a laugh. They took us out with their friends for paddy's Day the drinking started at 10:30 in the morning and we were still up in the early hours the next day drinking and singing 'the Pogues'.The flat is also very nice it was so nice we can't quite believe we are living there. It has a swimming pool on the roof and a gym and sauna on the top floor and we are just 2 blocks from the main street in the centre of sydney. Its a far away place from Northallerton, a bit scary with all the crazy people that come along with living in a city but we are having fun and loving it!!! Anyway Burts is working for a company who make tables and chairs for schools and I am at the Televsion, Film and Radio school on reception. Its all good but we both have to catch trains and buses to work and unfortunately for Burts he has to start at 7am so his alarm goes off at 5am. Its only for another 2 months then we are heading back to melbourne to leave the summer wardrobe at Dave & Jan's and head to the Snowy Mountains where we have another 3 months of work lined up at a Ski Resort in Perrisher. I know we both can't ski but we get free accomodation and food and paid $330 a week each with 1 day off so hopefully we will finish at the end of September as pro skiiers and money saved to travel the reast of the east coast.
Well lunch break is over so better get back to work, hope everyone is good. Was good to hear from you, Rosie and Marc, glad you both OK.
Will put some pics on this weekend. love u all xxx
p.s Happy Birthday to me and karen for wednesday xxxx :-)
