So today we had to drive down to Sydney! We got in from our night out at about 2 am and were woken by someone shaking the van...That was an experience! We woke up about 8.30, very hungover! After showering, we headed to the hostel cafe for breakfast which consisted of a toastie and 2 bars of chocolate...Fab start to the day! We left at 11 am and Sarah drove for the first 3 and half hours. We stopped for lunch (more crap) then I drove for the next 3 and half hours...

We set off pretty early from the rest area as wanted to go see the views at the lighthouse on the most easterly point in Australia! They did not disappoint! It was amazing! Apparently you're able to see lots of whales and dolphins from there but we weren't lucky enough to see any. We went to the little lighthouse cafe after all that sight seeing for an ice cream. We both had chocolate Mars ice cream which in both our opinions was the BEST ice cream we've ever had...

I woke up about 6.30 am at the Southport tourist park campsite in a very productive mood. I pegged my washing out that I washed from the night before, and then thought I'd put my new sports bra to good use and head out for a run before it got too hot. I ran 5 km along the beach front which was amazing! When I got back to the van, I showered and then prepared for breakfast. Check out time in the hostel was 10am, we woke up at 9.30, I ran for a quick shower and shoved all my stuff from scattered across the floor into my big rucksack. We headed down to reception all in a fluster and apologetic at 10.45 to be greeted with a totally chilled out receptionist who was like 'no worries'! Oh yea... We're in Australia! We went out the back of the hostel and were pleasantly surprised to find a nice little cafe that had amazing views of the cit...

Australia Zoo today!!! We woke up so excited. The public toilets were absolutely vile so we decided to do it true backpacker style and hit the bushes! We arrived at the Zoo around 10am, made a packed lunch and headed in. It was just an amazing day, I'm not a huge animal lover as pretty all of them scare me but I was loving it!! I even got a selfie with a kangaroo. We watched a crocodile and bird show which was amazing, definitely worth going to. It was lovely but...
