From the port of Marseille we travelled to Aix. Aix means water and there are hot and cold springs in the town & what the town is famous for. The streets were extremely narrow with little squares dotted around. The town hall and town hall clock were impressive, the clock depicting the time and the season with 4 statues of a woman with representations of various seasons e.g. adorned with flowers for spring etc.
Nearly missed the bus back to the boat trying to find a post office to send postcard to the kids, found the post office lined up for a bit to realise we were lined up in the wrong spot (of course not being able to read the French signs) and had to leave to get the bus which had a meeting time of 1.30 to get there and have the bus close the door on us, but then opened up again, hopefully we will find a post office somewhere to send the postcard, might have to wait to England so we can read the signs!!
