Day 25: Happy Halloween!
It's going to be an ongoing trend these next few final days, but 'not too much to report'!
We got up, had a massive complimentary hotel brekkie, went to the beach, came back to the pool, then back to the room for a bit of a rest.
If there has been one thing on the to do list in Honolulu, it's been the 'Yardhouse', a bar/restaurant at the bottom of our hotel. We went there for a late lunch - thanks to Nikki & Simon for the recommendation!
You raved about the buffalo wings, the sliders, the egg rolls, but you did not tell us (me) about the half-yard serving glasses - and what better way to sample the extensive beer list!
After a big feed, Nic took Josh across the road to see the local army museum, while I stayed on a little longer at the Yardhouse (Simon, I know you'd understand!)
Choppers, tanks, canons, the boy loved his little field trip. He's had a big day, pretty much crashing here at the table while at the nightly manager's reception by the hotel's pool deck.
So while it might be an early night for us, things are just starting to warm up here on the island - it's Halloween and I'm not just talking about trick or treat. It seems this night here in the U.S is as big a night for the grown-ups as it is for the little ones. I think the bars are going to be busy.
Oh well, time to retreat to our room to watch the carnage and mayhem from our 20th floor balcony.
Til tomorrow!
