Well, the decision was finally made. We have decided to risk going on a cruise. After many years when we have convinced ourselves that it wasn’t for us, we think it may be! We have decided that our first one will be round Japan - having decided that travelling around the country on our own was probably not a great idea and that a ship board journey would make life easier for us we are going for it!
So we are to be off in the next few days, flying to Tokyo, spending 3 nights in the city and doing some sightseeing and then starting the cruise on the Celebrity Millennium. We will be on board for 13 nights stopping off most days at a different port and taking excursions on land to see more of the country.
At the moment I cant tell you where all our stops will be be as i can’t remember them! So, if you are interested, you will have to follow this blog which i will endeavour to keep up to date and then you will know as much as we do!

Martin Enjoy your cruise around Japan. We are presently on a world cruise having stopped in Japan for 10 days. Most of our tours were booked through Viator rather than ship tours. I am not sure whether you have looked into this travel company. A personal guide can provide better information about your port as oppose to the ship tour with one guide and maybe 25 other passengers. Just a thought. Enjoy your cruise.
Bud Thank you. We are using Viator while we are in Tokyo before the cruise. We decided to use the ship tours in case of any amendments to sailings which we have had!
