Today is National Day. It is a public holiday. What always happens on a bank holiday? It rains, right? This day is no exception! It rained in the night, it rained this morning and, although it stopped at about 1.30, if I’m honest, the outlook is not great! On the bright side, however, it is quite warm.

Instead of a long walk around the estate we decided to take a short walk to the golf club. However, this was very quiet - perhaps unsurprisingly - and the coffee was rubbish so we came back to the guest house for a decent cup! We also decided not to have lunch at the GC but stayed here instead and then had a soak in the jacuzzi to de-stress
