The day started with a guided tour across the front of the falls. The falls are 1.5km across and the noise has to be experienced to be believed we walked across a bridge in front of the falls but some distance away and lthe spray which had been thrown up was coming down on us like torrential rain. Unbelievable. Even though we were wearing heavy duty capes we ended up very wet, but mightily impressed.

We returned to our room, has a shower and then headed out for another view of the fall, this time from a helicopter. Its only from the air that the full majesty of the falls can be appreciated. We were extremely lucky with the flight, we had perfect conditions but as we landed the rain started and kept on for the rest of the day, which we had to spend in the hotel. We had a super 3 course meal, with wine, in the evening for less than £40.00. This in 5 star hotel with waiter service that was unequelled.
