We stayed in the most modern hotel I have ever been in. It had every facility we could think of and I'm sure it probably had some we didn't think of! It even operated a courtesy taxi which took us to Mandela square where there were many restaurants. Afterwards we had only a few minutes to wait before our return shuttle arrived. We left the hotel at 8.30am to go to the airport for our short flight to Zambia. Then by mini bus to the Zambezi River and a boat crossi...

The train was as luxurious as its advertisements implied. The service was exemplary and the food was first class. However, the whole experience was undermined by the trains inability to keep to time. This meant that we completely missed our first stop and arrived in the dark at the second!!!! The reasons given were many and varied. Anyway we are now preparing for the next stage, our trip to Botswana via Zambia.

Up early, but initial disappointment as the cable car was still closed, so we started on plan B and caught the bus to the Jewish Museum to see an exhibition on the life of Helen Suzan, a very brave lady. When we came out we saw the skies had cleared and the cable car was operating. Another quick change of plan and we made post haste to the terminal.
