After yesterdays exhertions we were able to have a lie in before the coach took us in to Knysna for a look at the local shops, which were quite boring. However we passed the time having a coffee followed by an ice cream whilst sitting comfortably overlooking the harbour. In the afternoon we went for a boat ride across the harbour to the Featherbeed. We left Port Elizabeth at about 9.30 for a 2 hour drive to Storms River. We stopped for lunch but the real attraction was a long boardwalk trek up and down a large number of steps for about a mile to a swinging suspension bridge over the mouth of the river. Hard work but worth it because of the view and the sense of achievement. The flights were very good and on time. Having to collect our luggage at Johannesburg was a bit of a nuisance. The hotel is superb. We had showers then walked along the sea front. It's beautifully warm with a pleasant cooling breeze, actually quite a strong wind. Food prices are very low. We stopped at a beach side cafe and had spot of tea,each for grand sum of £1.00!!!!
