Guided Tour in the morning until mid afternoon. Fortunately the first part was in the bus. We only had to start walking once we had reached the citadel which gave spectacular views over the city. The walk down was a little tiring but the time spent in the market was very boring. In the evening we walked to "The Shoes on the Danube " memorial sculpture which was very sad. Depart Vienna 13.48 Arrive Budapest 16.49 Very hot, strolled to the belvedere palace and sat in the gardens before heading back to hotel and then the walk to the station. Then there was chaotic scramble to get on the train and find our seats. The train was packed. Arrived, boarded coach to hotel, small room, but well laid out. Went to a nearby restaurant for a group meal. Not bad, someone's birthday so free wine. Still pleasantly
