11th June 2016 We headed onto Kings Canyon today. The good weather meant that we could see Mt Conner this time as we passed. 7th June 2016 We wake up to a delightful red sunrise over the desert, there are only a few clouds around. 5th June 2016 We need jumpers on this morning, it's the first time in 6 weeks. We are a bit over the heat and appreciate the cooler night and morning. Up and off early again this morning. 31st May 2016 We depart Darwin, heading for Litchfield National Park. Within Litchfield National Park there is only one place where caravans are allowed to stay, Wangi Falls. A recent comment on Wikicamps indicates that the sites are impossible to get a larger van in. 28th May 2016 This morning we explore Darwin. We notice that Darwin has developed, spread out dramatically and many areas have become quite sophisticated and quirky in the last 13 years. We visit the Parap Markets, it a mix of hawker style food stores, fruits and veg and a bit of clothing, hats etc. We visit the Tunnels built back in WWII, originally built to secure oil during the war.
