Sarah was up at the crack of dawn and headed down to the gym only to find it was full so she went for a walk along the beach instead (I guarded the room from my bed).
After a very average hotel breakfast (Novotel Bali Benoa still rates as the best breakfast buffet any where I've been in the world) we headed back to the pool for a few hours before showers and bemo to Kuta (100,000 rupiah). I was very quickly reminded of why I don't stay there anymore. Did a bit of shopping at Matahari's then walked to the Discovery Centre for a look.
Headed back to the hotel and wandered across the road to Laguna for a neck and shoulder massage ($7 for 30 mins) - like their restaurant it was very average. Sarah's masseuse must have fancied her because he never shut up for the full 30 mins. Wondered why the room door wouldn't open - helps if you are trying to open the right room - wrong floor - oops!
Back for another dip in the pool and watch the sunset.
Decided to try Coco Bistro for dinner - straight across the road from the hotel - very friendly, good music and good food. Although I did request fried rice with my sate and ended up with "fries" - bit of a language barrier I think - not to worry they were delicious fries. Also got a carafe of white wine for 120,000 rupiah, which didn't taste too bad.
