Afternoon tea at the Empire Kerry and I decided after two days of lounging around at the empire we would sample their afternoon tea. So we became posh ladies that do tea! After sunbathing we made our way up to the vast empire lobby and sat at our reserved table over looking the south china sea. There was a buffet spread set up which had sandwiches, cakes and scones for us to nibble on for as long and as much as we liked!! Although small the scones were gorgeous...

Back in Brunei after having a lovely 2 and half weeks in the UK with my wonderful family and friends. OK so actually that was over a month ago now but finally getting a spare minute to update my blog! Over the holiday i met my gorgeous new niece Emily Jane who was just 3 weeks old when i got to meet her. I had forgotten how small babies are! Especially as my other equally as gorgeous niece Katie has grown in size and personality so much since i last saw her ...

Well Christmas has arrived in Brunei thanks to Lin who left at the end of the last school year (July) I have a pretty gold Christmas tree with presents under neither............but who could they be for!? The other very exciting thing that has happened this week is the arrival finally of Emily Jane. Yes that's right I am an aunty once again. She was born around 6.15am on Sunday 4th December weighing 8lb 5oz. Congratulations to my sister Lisa and Bill. Can't wait...

Ahhh big sigh...yet another long weekend!! Finally the event i have been looking forward to for weeks arrived! the St. Andrew's ball at the Marriott in Miri (great place to spend a long weekend at the best of times!) Left school on Friday and arrived in the early evening. Yet another island to tick of the list! This weekend I made the trip to the small Malaysian island of Labuan (to a town called Victoria) for Nick's birthday. The trip started nice and early with Garry and Mark. We go the car ferry at 9.30am from Brunei and it took around an hour and half to get to the island.
