Well I was too tired yesterday to enter anything. We had a gerat day in Whitehorse, taking in all the local flavor. Sat abord the SS Klondike and learned about the life of the riverboat workers. Well here we are in Whitehorse- what a long drive. Very little traffic on the road and a lot of businesses closed. Must be victims of this recession. Seems a shame. Lots of beautiful rivers and lakes along the way. Saw a momma bear with 2 cubs run across the road in front of us- not too close. Well it has been a long day--- miles of narrow, broken up mountain roads. We got our first chip in the windshield so now we don't have to worry anymore. Saw lots of wildlife- deer, caribou, stone sheep, moose and a herd of wild buffalo. Just a bit further we saw the biggest bull buffalo we have ever seen- a monster. Many places along the way are closed and they looked like really nice mountain lodges & restautants. Don't know if it is the economy or what??? ...

Today was a long day of driving- all the way to Fort nelson. Not much here just a pit stop and off again tomorrow. Rained all the way here but the sun is out now.
