Well it has been a long day--- miles of narrow, broken up mountain roads. We got our first chip in the windshield so now we don't have to worry anymore. Saw lots of wildlife- deer, caribou, stone sheep, moose and a herd of wild buffalo. Just a bit further we saw the biggest bull buffalo we have ever seen- a monster. Many places along the way are closed and they looked like really nice mountain lodges & restautants. Don't know if it is the economy or what??? The highways are very quiet as well- traffic is light except of course the truckers. We almost witnessed a wreck as a semi was barreling after a camper that was passing a bunch of us who had slowed down for a caribou on the road. The semi slammed on his brakes and narrowly missed rear ending the camper who had suddenly seen the caribou and slowed. STUPID!!! We are here in Watson Lake- a bit better place than Fort Nelson. On to Whitehorse tomorrow.
