Day 9 A late breakfast this morning then our tour guide took us for a short walk along the left bank of the Danube and across the bridge to the central markets. After an hour exploring the two floors of the markets and enjoying a local dark beer, I set off to explore more of the city. Stopping for lunch at a British Sports Bar where I enjoyed. Day 8 The weather was kind to us today and we enjoyed a good ride through the Hungarian countryside. We were not travelling on the motorway today and the Hungarian minor roads are twisty and in poor condition with several potholes and ruts. There was no major highlight of today's ride as it was merely a short days ride of 151km to reach Budapest. We travelled via Veszprem, zirc, Sored, Alcusutdoboz and Etyek. Day 7 We were up and on the road by 8am today. Todays ride is one of the longest of the tour. The rain had disappeared and we were left with an overcast and cool day.
