So we've made it safely to the UK, and are now very comfortably installed in Berkhamsted. We've been to Woburn Abbey, toured Tower Bridge among other sights in London, and today spent a lovely time exploring Kew Gardens and it's buildings - the weather was so good, we felt we couldn't waste the opportunity to be outside. Surprisingly we have slept reasonable hours, and seem to have thus settled into the adjusted timetable. The view is from the verandah of the apartment we are being generously hosted in - just gorgeous. The Grand Union canal flows by, with locks to walk across and little pubs along the shore. Idyllic.
