Well we are at the Spring Lake RV Resort. It's really nice. I'm a little surprised. I thought we were somewhere to rent boats and stuff and I was wrong. This place is full of lakes and ponds for FISHING!!! And you don't need a license to fish. Finally I'll get to use my pink rod and reel again and maybe I'll catch something this time!

So we checked in and found out that it was ice cream social and dinner night. We made it to dinner. There was so much to eat. Meatloaf & salads and so on it was delicious. Someone was even selling fresh Tomatoes and Cucumbers.

Then we went swimming. Oh gosh, after 103 weather it was nice to be wet in the pool. Then we went to walk the dogs. Autumn decided to escape with her leash on and tease me by pretending she was going to jump into a lake. Okay, she really wasn't teasing but then she saw a rabbit and took off to chase it. I get the idea, I should have taken them to the dog run area and let her run. I learned my lesson. She's the boss. :) Finally she decided she had enough teasing me and came back. Others are the park were laughing at us. She just had a bath 2 days ago I wanted her to stay clean a few more days.

Then we set up the screen tent for the birds and they attracted a lot of attention. But they were happy to finally be able to be out of their cages.

So far everyone has been really friendly. I wish we were able to stay in this park longer. Kansas will be a state we'll stay in longer probably next year.

Today what did we do? Went to the pool, walked the dogs, took a nap. Walked the dogs, went to the pool, went fishing. Walked the dogs, time for bed. :) We also met many nice people here at this resort.

Today we slept a lot. A lot. Went to eat at Hog Wild BBQ. It's pretty good. Look for pictures of what we ordered in the album. We went to the pool, walked the dogs, took down the tent and now it's time for bed. Oh yea, there was a cold front today. It was 98 instead of 103. Tomorrow we'll be in Turney, MO. Don't know if I'll have time to update this right away because we are only staying one night. Then into Rock Island, IL!!
