It has been a while since my last blog....sorry. After Darwin and Lychfield national park we drove down South again to make our way over to the east coast. When we got back to Daly waters I got sick and had a gastro bug. I then had seizures on the side of the road when we had pulled over cos I wasn't feeling well. So we had to drive to ten aft creek which had the closest hospital where we stayed for a few days until I was up to travelling again. It was pretty scarey although it's a good thing that I don't remember much of it.
We the went across the middle of Australia and stopped in a few different places along the way. one of them was Richmond which is rebound for its fossils of marine Dino's which was pretty interesting.
We finally made it all the way up to Port Douglas where we stayed with our friends the McMahon family. They live on 10 acres and we spent our time there running around outside, getting dirty, searching for cane toads, building a hut in the jungle in their back yard, and we even had a ride on the motorbikes. It was awesome and a big change from the things that we have been doing.
We also took a drive up to Daintree National park which was great although it was quite wet. We then drove up to Cape trib which was cool. You can't swim anywhere at the beaches up here though because of the crocs and the stingers.
We then went to Atherton tableland and saw lots of waterfalls. We then drove to the Undara lava tubes which we walked through. They were cool too, and pretty much in the middle of no where.
