Our alarm was set for 6am when we got up pulled the curtains back and got sat in the two chairs in the room. The sun rose at about 6.40am. It was great, it rose right in front of our view from the window. There were loads of people on rooftops, down by the beach and in walkways, all waiting to watch. We got up early this morning as we wanted to be ready to go at around 7.30am. We got packed and made our way downstairs, we were even too early for the hotel, there was no one to take the key. Someone got up eventually and James nipped to get some fruit for breakfast and a tuk tuk to take us to the train station. We managed an early start at the beach again this morning, seen as it will be our last here in Varkala. We've really enjoyed Varkala, it's a really easy place to be and enjoy, two weeks have passed very quickly. We stayed until about 1.30pm again then went back to the hotel to sort our bags and get packed as much as we can because we are catching the train at 8.40 in the morning. We went out for tea late, we aimed to get some more fish we had never had. We walked...

We booked some accommodation today and have pretty much organised our dates to get our flights changed. We're going to email our travel agent to change them, I think they will be pretty much set then. Depending on how much money we have left at the end we may extend our stay in America, although if we hardly have any it may get shortened!! For the rest of the day we chilled and went out for tea later.

We got up early this morning and managed to get to the beach early. We'd had breakfast got an umbrella and it was much better. It wasn't too hot but it wasn't long before the waves started getting pretty big! We were here until about 1.30pm when we decided to go back. We had showers and did a little more planning before going out for tea later on. James had more fish, this time trying butterfish which was really good.
