We actually managed to get out and about today, after another nice breakfast we got our bits together and ventured out. There were some black clouds when we set off but we hoped for the best, it wasn't long before the rain started and eventually became heavy!

We still managed to look around the city centre and the port. The city centre was not the prettiest at all and everywhere was covered in graffiti, some was very good then there were gaps filled in which looked awful.
Unfortunately we had gone to marseille at this time of year when there were so many building works going on at the port, this made it difficult to see anything. Also with it still pouring with rain everything looked dull!
We decided to head back as our jumpers were now soaking.
We managed to make our way to the train station where we got the underground to take us closer to our hotel, a little less wet for 3€.
As we had discovered to launderette the other day was only a 5 minute walk from our hotel and only 30c for 5 minutes we nipped in to dry our jumpers, otherwise I think they would have been just as wet in the morning still!
