Hi Trent! Sounds like you two are having a blast. Joey and I were in Spain together a little over a year ago and your journal has brought back many memories. Enjoy all the new culture you're encountering. If Amsterdam is on your list look up "Boom Chicago" -- a hilarious comedy troupe. And probably avoid the Shoarma, Egyptian meat on a stick (it will be all over Paris too). Or any hot food out of a vending machine. Like Taco Bell it always sounds good at 2am, but trust me on this one. Have fun!

Briana - Sorry that a bird pooped on your neck while you were trying to rest under that shade tree....sooo sad. Anyway, Trent, I'm glad to hear that you are actually a living person on this trip and that you are not a blow-up doll for Briana to carry along with herself.

I sure wish that I was in Venice with you exploring the beautiful places in Italy.

Brianna! I can't believe you're backpacking through Europe... I'm so jealous! As for me I jumped right into the real world... working and living in Reno while I apply to med school again. We'll see what happens this time! Hope you guys are having an amazing time! Tell Trent hola for me!

Sis- I sure do miss u.... well.... it is good being able to sleep in on Saturday Mornings. I hope your having fun down there and ill see u August 12th, when my trip ends.

Trent, you'd better start writing some in the journal or those of us stateside will believe that Briana left you in Madrid and is carrying around a blow up Trent that she drags to the tapas bars, the bay/sewer and the new and exciting hostels. Or it could be like that full size picture of Princess Diana that people take pictures with all around the world - should I look to see if you're in your room?

Sounds like you're having fun. Sorry the beach wasn't better - I wouldn't expect to swim in Venice but maybe somewhere it Italy you can fully enjoy the Mediterranean.

Love the journal entries so keep them coming. I'm still having jet lag just hearing about your travel schedule. Pack some of those fancy cheese sandwiches for the trip home. I assume the theory is if you have enough beer/wine that all those local germs will be killed.
