Cheap flight up and met up with Johnny (Andy's mate) at the Palace Hostel to wait for Andy arriving from Byron Bay. Palace was quite a good hostel, a fun place but place where its hard not to drink as its got one of the main backpacker bars (Down Under) underneath. First night it was up to the roof to play cards and drink goon, afterwards Down Under. Next day, with hangover intack, it was off to the city beach. Quite weird having a beach and water pool in middle of the city but a good place to relax and top up the tan. Chilled out for the next few days spending most of the time at the beach until Andy arrived on Saturday. Really good to meet up with him again, been nearly a year since we last seen each other. To celebrate the reunion it was a night on the roof with a box of goon (drink it for the price not the taste). The plans were to head to thenicer area of The Valley to go out but we never made it past the Down Under bar. Next day we started the journey of chasing the sun so we got the bus up to Noosa to meet up with Johnny again who had left earlier.
