http://www.offexploring.com/brianm/albums/northland-day-1 -- First day was a lot of driving and excitement about being off on holiday :) Stayed in an okkkay-ish B&B place in Whangarei - but there was a lovely harbour there and some a bit of scenic touring to be done with the bush walk and waterfalls.

Russell is so pretty it gets a whole little section by itself, despite there not being that many photos! there would be more, but I'm pretty sure Brian wanted me out of there and away from "stores" as fast as possible
