Paul and I headed to lake Titicaca whilst Graham would stay in La Paz for a few days as he´d been there before. So of we set on a 4 hr bus to meet the 2 mad Irishman. Unfortunately we couldn't find them that evening as we didn't arrive till 9pm. We were however staying in the same Hostel 6 De Augusto.
But we did find them in the morning, so after breakfast we had a walk around Copacabana. Its a pretty cool place to chill and relax and that's what we would do for the next couple of days.
The boys headed off to Peru. And we joined Damien and climbed a hill for sunset. Lake Titicaca trout for dinner, some local red wine and a good chin wag with Emma and Mo.
We left early the following morning for a 17km hike over to a bay where we would meet a colourful character to ferry us to the Isla Del Sol. The five of us chatted the day away on a great hike.
We arrived at Yampupatu and met the said character...whom demanded a few extra Bolivianos from us just off Isla Del Sol, cheeky monkey.
The origin or story of the Inca is that the Sun and Moon were born in the lake.
We returned on the main ferry hungry, so a mexican was in order! Which we did the following day too when good friends Briony, Lucy, Louise and Paul joined us...Graham too arrived that eve, to complete one of those great nights with friends.
On Thurs we left for yet another long one...
