Hi all, this is our first blog in 6 months and for those of you who keep up to date we're sorry but we are soon to be back on the road and on the blog!
We settled quickly into Sydney life, both working 4-5 day weeks and earning some money for the first time in over 6 months. The time has flown and has been spent exlporing Sydney and socialising every weekend. The city is beautiful and we have countless pictures of the bridge and the opera house. Our favourite bar being the Opera Bar, with a bottle of Bubbley.
Having my cousin living 2 doors down has been great. We've realised we've got soo much in common and have enjoyed many great weekends in various bars and restaurants. We also spent an entire weekend learning to surf, south of Sydney on 7 mile beach.
My family were over for Christmas which was fantastic and a truly different kind of Christmas was had in the heat. New Year was spectacular and was spent on the banks of the harbour at Balmain.
Kims's mum and dad spent a month with us when we explored Hunter Wine valley and used Richard, Sarah, Annie and Claire's wedding gift to scale the Bridge! We also had 10 days up the East coast which was fantastic. We scuba dived (all 4 of us....yes even the parents), we explored Fraser Island in style, relaxed in Noosa and got to see Steve Irwins Zoo outside of Brisbane.
In April we headed to Byron Bay for the Bluesfest where we camped for the long weekend and saw some amazing artists. To get full use of our tent we also spent a weekend in April camping in The Royal National Park, Bundeena. The weather was great and we hired a Kayak and explored a little more.
The weather has turned a little wetter and quite a biy colder. So it's time to move.
We spent our anniversary last weekend out with friends on the Friday night in a local Itlian. The Saturday we went surfing in the rain, and then dined in The Altitude restaurant in The Shangri-La hotel. The food was out of this world and the bill was also pretty alien too! But hey, 7 courses with matching wines is not an every day thing. Then on the Sunday we found some energy to visit the Blue Mountains.
I've finished work and am finding it therapeautic chucking our stuff out and down sizing to a rucksack at 15 Kg's again. Kim on the other hand is maybe not enjoying it as much.
Cheers guys, next blog from the road!!!
