The 4 of us succesfully completed our PADI and spent the last few days on Koh Tao doing some more dives, including a 30m dive and a night dive. This last dive was a great way to finish the adventure here, it was amazing! We managed to see giant Barracuda hunting and eating their prey as well as appreciating the feeling of being in the complete darkness under the sea with lots of fish trying to have a few hours sleep and enjoying the bioluminescence!
Our last night was spent on Koh Samui and our memory will be of being plagued by local kids on the beach in the evening to play connect four with them for cash. Or being harassed to buy flower necklaces, or touch a snake, or pet a monkey or have an eagle sit on your head or lick a lizard!!!! I'm glad it was only for 1 night.
We said goodbye to Emma and Pip, it was great to see them and I think they were tempted to stay longer, and we made our visa run (or flight) to Kuala Lumpa. We overstayed our Thai visa by 1 day so we had to pay for that then we arrived in KL. The last few days have been spent doing a bus tour (the guy gave us student dicounts "Students of Life"). Checking out the skyscrapers and colonial sights from the British occupation and letting Kim loose in the mega shopping malls!!!!! KL is a clean city, the people have superb English and there's a great mix of history from various countries.
We have finally treated ourselves to a new camera as our current 1 is on the way out, this has given Kim the much longing retail therapy dose shes much needed!!
