On the 19th we caught our first night bus which took 17hrs to Mendoza...the wine region. The bus was really good, reclining seats, 4 films (in English) and a meal. I don´t know what all the moaning is about, they may be slow but they´re really comfortable. Well the last few days have been spent exploring Patagonia with a bit of hiking and mountain biking. Not to many wild nights out but a rather chilled atmosphere in the hostel with some musicians and singing in fluent spanish! Obviously there has been some more steak munching. We've flown down from Buenos Aires very hungover from the night before, some of us didn't get to bed till 6am. Then up at 11am...yes we missed breakfast again and then onto the flight for a quick sleep and arrived in Bariloche. An Ozie from the Milhouse Hostel in Buenos Aires had told us about Hostel 1004 here and it is a gem! The tallest building on the edge of Lake Nahuel Huapi. Amazing views. So we spent day 1 on the slopes....queue the photos and the video. ...

We headed off to the Boca Juniors vs Independente, a riotous match with 5 yellow cards and 2 red. 1-1 it finished, fantastic atmosphere and lots of spanish chants. As the photo shows it was a bit of a carnival.

Today we headed to Recoleta and went to Evita's impressive tomb, then headed to the nearby market. This was enough site seeing so we had a couple of cervasas in the sun and listened to some live rasta music.
