Our ticket said we should arrive into Copenhagen at 10.07 so we scheduled in an 8am breakfast with the train attendant. The breakfast was quite liberal with cereal, juice, coffee, ham, cheese, jam & breads. We still had quite some time to wait after breakfast however as the train arrived in 2hrs late at noon. With only the rest of the day to explore Copenhagen we quickly found our hotel, which for $135 a night was pretty much a Danish Formule 1 with bunk beds...

Another trilling morning spend doing washing before we had to check out at noon. Our first stop was going inside Germany's biggest cathedral to check out the cavernous space which was amusingly intermittently disrupted by the sound of an angle grinder doing work down in the crypts- how's the serenity!! Although we had thought we would take the train around 4pm from Amsterdam when we checked the schedule online it seemed there was some track works which would mean taking 3 different trains with tight connections. Stupid trains!!! This morning we were heading to Amsterdam which was supposed to be a 4hr 14min journey with 2 changes at both Antwerpen & Rotterdam. We ended up taking 6 different trains & the journey took just under 7hrs.
