A lazy at sea day today. For something different I went to the small cafe near the spa for breakfast & it was much calmer than the buffet. I had a runny Bircher muesli & an 'energiser' smoothie, then Sean joined me at the coffee shop for drinks & muffins. We went to a talk by the 2nd engineer about how the ship moves at 10.30 but he wasn't a very good speaker just reading off the slides & changed them very quickly so we were soon out of there relaxing in the room a bit after I did a lap around the shops and watched the start of another sale (this time of bracelets) from the level above as people crazily grabbed boxes like their life depended on it.

Only having had a smaller breakfast we were hungrier a little earlier so just after noon we went to the dining room for a 3 course lunch and then for me it was pool time. I decided to try the undercover pool which turned out to be very tranquil with water features making trickling water noises & protection from the sun. Laid back on my lounger reading I even managed a little cat nap. Refreshed I returned to the room to watch the second half of a pretty terrible movie then we went to the back deck for a drink & the sunset although we had to sit inside for 6pm sushi as they were cleaning the deck. Down to the Gastrobar for another drink & then we had to get tarted up for 'evening chic' night & more fine dining for dinner. After dinner we actually managed to go for a drink, trying the world class bar for a fancy Whisky drink with Shane, an American guy who works on an oil ship in Senegal & sits at our dinner table. We watched the oldies dancing for a while then made it to bed just before midnight.
