Gaynor Such a different lifestyle - that Rainbow Bridge description sounds scarey - imagine driving that at peak hours to work in the mornings
re: Japan, Day #3 (Going to Work Today)Gaynor Gosh such great hosts Brenda - and you have been and seen so much! Thanks for this - I doubt I will get to japan but at least I get to see it through your eyes :)
re: Japan - Day #2 onwardVern Bren, keep enjoying your trip. Sounds like a very nice experience for you. Hello (kanichiwa) to everyone in Japan.
re: Palace and ProtestsJoanne Brenda, glad to hear your protest experience was a positive one. The bowl will be a lovely souvenir to have of your trip to Thailand. Enjoy your time in Tokyo.
re: Palace and ProtestsKeith My Thai teacher (an American) lived there for several years. He used to have to pay 2-3x the price of the people from there also. If he was buying a ticket at a window, he would stand to the side so they couldn't see he was American (he speeks fluent Mandarin). They would give him the price of the locals and when he walked away they saw he was an American, they would get angry :) Kinda funny. Have Fun in Tokyo!
re: Palace and ProtestsDeb Thanks so much Brenda. I'm really enjoying your travel blog. The lady going down Wat Arun on her bum made me laugh. That would be me! hahahah

re: Bangkok (for the second time around)Brenda Thanks Shannon, Joanne and Keith. It was all good. So happy I came to Thailand. I think everyone needs to come and check out this country. It's "amazing" is the only words that accurately describe it.
re: Bang Bao Pier and Elephant TrekkingJoanne Brenda, glad to hear you had lots of good adventures on the island. Sorry to hear about your spa experience, it sounded anything but relaxing. Wishing you a safe journey to Bangkok.

re: Klong Prao Beach area of Koh Chang, ThailandGaynor Loving your journals - the sight of elephants coming at you whilst on a kayak must have been amazing - great you will be riding one - grab that elephant energy - and the handlers are so connected to their animal - very grounding solid - phew what a vaca..... I do hope you can shake the cough - feel better soon - any potent vitamin c around ? Get well soon on that one ..... Wow Brenda !
re: Klong Prao Beach area of Koh Chang, ThailandKeith Hi Brenda, As I was reading the part where you are walking back in the dark, I was thinking that little flashlight would be great there..lol. I'm glad you brought it, I hope you have batteries, when it's done, it just goes dead. While your at your spa day, you should ask if they can give you the recipe for Tom Sum Gai. Take care, Have fun!
