We arrived into La Paz at about 11.30 after our long journey from Uyuni. Hotel seems nice enough and has again really hot water with the power shower. We're both really tired and just rested for an hour before our guide took us out somewhere to eat. We had an interesting 6 and a half hour journey to from Potosi to Uyuni. The buses in Bolivia are definitely a step down from Brazil with people standing in the aisles for most of the journey. We made it to Potosi with minimal problems caused by the strike. The teachers were striking in Sucre, and when that happens they block all of the roads out of the city. Road block consisted of hugh mound of dirt covering the road and the teachers were all standing in a group and appeared to be having some sort of rally. Sucre is an old historical town with all of the buildings in the central area painted white. We did a city tour on the day we arrived and get to see some of the main sights. It once was the capital of Bolivia however now it is one of two capitals (La Paz is the other). It is still considered one of the capitals as it has the legal system based here.
