the overnight ferry from Tao was interesting to say the least , followed by a short bus ride and another boat finally got us to phi phi . we were suprised how busy the main part is but with no motor vehicles nice and quiet. the beaches were so fine and the sea crystal clear all you can do is spend all day there. ( as long as it's not raining, again ) we did see alot of the sun which was nice! the trips out are well worth it ( but do the longboat trips) such a beautiful island we spent longer there than we had planned. the area of long beach is really nice and just far enough to be away from the main area. the only problem are the swams of day trippers that decend on the beach up until 2ish. selfish i know! if in Thailand you've got to go!!!!
