we arrived after a good flight from japan. the hostel is lovely ( even has own pool ) the city is not the best dirty and smelly in places, but some of it is real nice! the grand palace is out of this world , the colours and designs ( wow) . the river boats are well worth a trip and the sky train ( 40 -50 feet in the air ) is very good. there is a weekend market with 1800 stalls a nightmare but cheap!

we are only in osaka a day and a half so didnt have alot of time. however we found a street where they sell only computers or related games etc, it was a good 1 km . we also went to osaka castle which is quite impressive. the walls are massive stones. the castle is now sorrounded by modern high rises and looks slightly out of place!

it only took us 2hrs40 to get here from tokyo. the bullet trains are so quick and direct.soon as we got here Ang saw Geisha`s and was in her element. there are so many temples that you cannot see them all. we are staying on the outskirts of Gion and we were lucky to stumble across a traditional wedding with all the colours and gear! We wandered down a local market alley , the sites and smells , brill! we even tried some of the food , no idea what it was , tasted ...

well weare here and and what a place! so glad we came only wish it was for longer, the experience is something to behold. the people are friendly and the place is soo clean. you've got old temples to ultra modern office blocks. the travellers we have meet are the friendliest yet .

what a whacky place!! so much to see and do. our 1st stop was on a camp site which i wouldn't reccomend! it would have been fine if we were into the local weed(in a big way)! and we are not, so we moved to a hostel reccomended to us,which is situated in the heart of everything, including the red light distrist. a candy shop for guys! lol! and quite an eye opener. they even have windows vacant(should you get short on dough girls)! this is a place for all ages and ...
