Day 14 Finally, we get to go on our speedboat for the day on the Lake. We were provided with a map, and decided to also rent a tube, for surfing on the back of the boat. Chris drove the boat while me and Mum did some surfing on the back, it was great fun, I went first, and got to 15 miles per hour, then when Mum went, Chris took her to 30 miles per hour, so I just had to have another go to beat that. Day 13 First thing, we got up and caught a shuttle down to the marina to hire a boat for the day, but when we got there, they were all rented out, so we decided to book one for the next day, and go and find something else to do today. Day 12 Today we decided to go for an early walk to a place called Yaki Point before leaving the Grand Canyon for Lake Powell. Early morning temperatures here have been really high so we have been drinking lots and lots of water to help avoid dehydrating. Day 11 After a good night’s sleep we all woke up feeling much better and decided to get on a shuttle bus to the El Tovar Lodge where we had breakfast as it’s important to eat well before a hard day’s hiking around the Grand Canyon.
