Our last morning in Tokyo and we've found out that the Kitty Suite doesn't just come with breakfast, it comes with a special Hello Kitty-themed room service! There are bows and Kitty faces adorning every aspect of the breakfast. We can't motivate the girls to leave the room before they have to, so we'll be here until the last possible moment.
Choking back their grief the girls eventually let us check out, not before Boo "accidently" left her camera behind forcing us to re-enter just one last time. Our bus to the airport isn't for 4 hours yet so we're off to stroll Shinjuku, and maybe even hunt a Kigurumi (onesie.)
Arcade after arcade has Fid make us stop and wait while I ran inside to scope out their Pokemon game, if he found one we had to wait longer while he played. We have lunch in a cool little place under a rail bridge with Taito arcade around the corner - Fid is happy to skip lunch. We make our way to Don Quijote near the Station to hunt for a Cinnamaroll Onesie for Boo. Nothing in her size won't stop her, she books herself an adult size one and a bag of extra Kitty swag while she's still able to tug at her Mum's chasm of Kitty Suite loss.
Still not satisfied with their shopping and no arcade with worthwhile Pokemon action nearby, Fid and I kick it in a bar while the girls raid the last shopping stop of the trip. They eventually return with hardly anything to show for their time - how is this rewarding?
We're back to the hotel and onto the bus. Fid and I are watching Travelman on the iPad, he's in Lisbon and Naples - I've convinced him we should do Lisbon next year. We're through all the airport stuff and waiting in the food hall, Boo has just finished off her cucumber sushi when she asks - "What day is the plumber coming?" at once both declaring I'd better have organised a toilet shower while we've been away, and that there's no way I could be installing it myself.
We've all loved Tokyo, it appears the Kids and I have a new favourite City, and at least a top 5 city for Gab. For the first time ever Boo is genuinely upset to be going home, "Couldn't we stay one more day, School doesn't start until Wednesday."
