1st Today its a 3 hour train ride to Kalambaka. The first train to Larissa is 2 hours and it is a high speed train. The next train is a commuter type, so the speeds are a lot slower. 27th This morning greats me with clouds and rain. Guess i cant get sunshine everyday. After breakfast i head off to a large shopping mall, perfect for a rainy day. Its a 30 minute bus ride out of town. The buses here are so old and so poorly maintained. They shake and rattle, have wooden seats and no suspension. What a ride for 1 euro! Anyway the shopping mall is nothing great, just a mass of expensive shops. The food court has me eating a wonderful tasty Yiros...

This adventure sees me starting in Thessaloniki, Greece. The flight from Adelaide to Athens was with Qatar. I was certainly spoilt on this flight. I used my frequent flyer points to fly business class. The in-flight service was superb, and so was the reclining seat, which converted into a flat bed.
