Our day began with a visit to the Temple of Heaven. This is where emporers prayed for good harvests. Afterwards we visited Beijing Zoo described in lonely planet as 'death row'!! Although it is getting better and now has an excellent Aquarium where we watched a dolphin show. In the evening we went to see a Chinese acrobat performance where Jay was the star of the show!! He was picked out for a bit of audience participation and we have it all on camera!!! Here we met Marta, Catherina and Izzy from Hanover Germany and went to San li tun (bar street)! In the bar we met Amy and Ma Yan Ming 2 Chinese girls who had studied in Bournemouth and Dublin. After a shot of Traditional Chinese rocket fuel Neil was persuaded by Jay to dance with a mentalist smelly local bar lady as a way of making him feel better about his embarrassment at the acrobat show! (what a good friend Neil is!!)
