OK - think I have an idea how this b.......... Blog works - operative word is "think"
When you get an email , open link, to read blogs - click on "Blog", then on "read more" for each one - or latest if I have bored you to death with previous one. Feel it's important to have these records as will help to recall happy times when I have Alzheimer's.
To view pics, click on "Photos". Then on to the pic showing - that will open up the album - for larger view of photo click on the photo. Don't know how to immerse pics in to words - as I did with last one - ??
Saturday 8th July
Bit of a dreary day weather wise.
The NI family head over to Brisbane today ( late in afternoon). So lots of flurry to exit island. David and Fiona completing last minute tasks at their business "Eldoo Car Hire" - Bob and I were going to manage business while they were away - luckily they have close friends who are doing this for them over next two weeks.
Fiona and I managed a trip to a farmers market, and supermarket - I'm now going to have to cook, make my own cuppa, and generally get off my bum and look after myself ( and the 2 cats)
It has been a wonderful week - has helped so much in easing the disbelief of Bob's passing - so a range of emotions, sad he is not here, happy he is at peace and resting on the island. Wierd feeling - vacuum created- however finding meditation really helping - and there are many beautiful spots on the island to find - solitude so calming.
The flight was delayed leaving Brisbane due to fog - so they had bit more time to wash, dry, pack, and double check they had everything. They are off to Queenstown for a week - then a week in Brisbane stocking up ( they bring back a multitude of grocery items as food expensive or not available on island)
So - my first night on my own on NI- I made a super duper fire so was cozy warm, whipped up a soup, and settled in to watch a DVD series " The Fall" - apparently great murder detective mystery.
