The day started with a few chores that should have taken an hour at best. So I started at 8am. Fix the reversing camera that stopped working yesterday on the trip from Tocumal. A quick check and possible rewire. No problems. Tried everything in my arsenal of knowledge but could not fix it. Must be the screen I guess. No worries its not essential. Consigned to the storage box for the rest of the trip. Then get new connectors for the water supply as the ones on NSW taps are different to Victoria. No problems down to Bunnings for the parts and back again but when fitted it pissed water out whatever I did. Luckily the bloke in the next caravan helped out and an hour later we had conquered a job that would have taken anyone else 5 minutes. SOOO at 11am we left for town. Griffith is a nice town of around 25,000. There is still a McKays furniture shop in town for those of you have memories of the Robert Trimbole/Mafia/Underbelly era and a street and statue named after Donald MacKay. A very Italian flavour with a lot of other immigrants here, Indian and South Pacific islanders too. Heaps of fruit being grown, stole some oranges of the trees and they are great, wineries galore with some of the cheapest prices ($26 for a dozen 2008 Reisling ?? at De Bortoli's, cancelled export order) for wine I have ever seen. Had a nice Italian picnic lunch with produce from a local deli then a couple of wineries. Got lost then back to buy a new kettle (the old one blew up yesterday and blew out the fuse for the whole van). Another happy hour with our surrounding caravaners now getting ready for State Of Origin One (satellite going perfectly you will all be glad to hear) with a red or 2 purchased today. Happy days
