So let me get this straight, you leave Egypt and the place descends into riots, civil unrest and defiant protesting. I've got my eye on the stability of the, once peaceful, coastal communities of Cyprus.
Looking forward to a catch up!

We are so glad that your timing to exit Cairo was impeccable. Marcos says that he is still waiting at the fery terminal at Limassol. The photos are wonderful, especially those of you. XXX

So glad you have left Egypt. Huge civil unrest and violent crowds protesting in all major cities. Govt asking foreigners to leave. You were very lucky. Dear Blackers ... I know you would have helped with our computer woes and thank-you. We took it to our regular dealer and got it back yesterday.
I love your recent snaps but also thought what unusual looking calamari. hope you make it into Bris before cyclonic weather comes. 2 cyclones crossing above us in next week or so.

Hi Bon. The photos are wonderful. I managed to speak to Marcos before he left. He is to meet you at the ferry terminal at Limassol where the original ferry between Adelaide snd Port Lincoln is still running to Haifa. Des travelled on it to Israel. The bulkheads still have Australian wildflowers on them. The original name M V Troubridge is still on the stern and just painted over. I forgot to give him a time unfortunately. When I read about hamouli for breakfast I thought of Toto. Love Big G XXX

Hey Bon!
I am loving your journal, and very impressed with globe-trotting confidence. Not much to update here - you're not missing much. (No disrespect intended re: flooding. I mean on more local "Carseldine" scale.) So Enjoy you trip! And very much looking forward to living vicariously through you when you get back. Have noticed your absence... Lis
P.S I've just read your most recent post - any day that begins with Haloumi is a good day.

Hi Bon. Marcos Baghdadis had to retire from the Australian Open yesterday. He will be returning home to Cyprus soon. Maybe he is just feigning injury and heard that you are there on your own and is trying to find you. He is a lovely lad and might be worth following up. I am pleased as well as Harry that you went to Agia Napa and Protaras. Love Big G XXX

What a beautiful place Cyprus is! Koula reckons you should ferry to mainland and visit her parents in their village near Olympia. She said you can stay there if you want. They will really look after you. You prob don't have time for this though. I would head for the nearest dock and catch a local boat up the Cyprus coast. There will be a non-tourist ferry somewhere and it would be beautiful.

Hi Bon. I know that you made it to Kipro safely. My neighbour Harry is from there, and recommends two beach resorts on the east coast. They are Agia Mapa and Protaras. I Googled them, and they appear to be a bit exy. If not on your list they might be good additions. We are all so glad that things have gone so well. XXX
