Hi there!
All is good here in Costa Rica ;-) we are really loving it. Summer began this month and we had a few last hard rains but now its been 100% sunshine.
I am so impressed with the young children in the congregation. As young as 2 yrs old and they walk 3 hours of service with the group without a baby carriage or asking to be carried! And these are not paved roads, they are muddy, or hills or rocky. The little girl in the picture loves to yell out "Buenos Dias!" and if no one comes out she says "Vamos a otra" (let's go to another).
There is a group that is a part of the congregation that has about 30 in attendance on sundays 5 miles away from the territory. It meets there so the friends dont have to travel too far on sundays and can also go out and cover that area in service after the meeting. The picture with the brother giving the talk with the trees behind him is where the group meets. As the brother talks, the hens are laying eggs behind him, geese are making sounds and the birds are singing, its just nature at its best. The congregation has 88 publishers and has 120 studies amongst them!! Albert has learned the territory well, he has such a good sense of direction. not me. And thank goodness he knows how to drive standard, because there arent any automatic...
We have had studies come to the meetings regularly and its exciting to think of how fast they are progressing. We went to Isla Caballo last week, its an island that hasnt been preached to in 3 years, there are about 200 in population. All fishermen with their families, who have been born and raised and never want to leave the island. They have no electricity and their water is from a well, very self sufficient. They dont want to leave the island because they say the world outside the island is getting really bad, so great way to introduce the good news!! They all listened! They hadnt received visitors in a looong time. The motorboat ride there was an adventure in itself, choppy waters :-? As soon as I download the island pictures I will send them. We've been keeping a busy schedule with service and helping the friends and in two weeks we have C/O visit so time has been flying. I cant believe we have been here 4 months already. I hope to hear back from you. Take good care!!

here are some pictures, enjoy!
the picture with the horse's shoe getting replaced is the Costa Rican AAA Service lol
The meters on the post show us that there is a house somewhere inside the road
the picture of the scorpion is what we dread the most when we shake out our clothes or our shoes
One of the pictures is a brother trying to pull out a man's car who went in the ditch. It worked and it was a good witness.
