Hi there!
Thanks so much for all the feedback and encouraging words. All is good here ;-) we started to get a bit more adapted to our service schedule this past week. Hurricane Matthew has hit Central America hard and the rains have been non-stop. Going in service has been difficult because the mud and the flooded areas dont let us pass to certain places. But because of the rainy weather, it has been cooler, yesss! a little break from the hot sun.
We are getting to know the congregation more, as we spend more time with them in service. I am so impressed with the young children in the congregation. As young as 2 yrs old and they walk 3 hours of service with the group without a baby carriage or asking to be carried! And these are not paved roads, they are muddy, or hills or rocky. The little girl in the picture loves to yell out "Buenos Dias!" and if no one comes out she says "Vamos a otra" (let's go to another).
The friends draw us little maps so we know how to get around ( there are no street names or numbers,to write a return visit we write a paragraph just to describe the house and the area). There are two elders, two regular pioneers and one special pioneer and there is a group that is a part of the congregation that has about 30 in attendance on sundays 5 miles away from the territory. It meets there so the friends dont have to travel too far on sundays and can also go out and cover that area in service after the meeting. The picture with the brother giving the talk with the trees behind him is where the group meets. As the brother talks, the hens are laying eggs behind him, geese are making sounds and the birds are singing, its just nature at its best. The congregation has 88 publishers and has 120 studies amongst them!! Albert has been getting to know the territory well, he has such a good sense of direction. not me. And thank goodness he knows how to drive standard, because the few friends with cars only drive that.
here are some pictures, enjoy!
Big Hug,
Sadia n Albert
