On Saturday we did a 2 hour Muggles walking tour. We walked through lots of historic areas and laneways to see some of J.K.Rowlings inspiration. Meg and Tom answered some of the guide's Harry Potter questions, were sorted as Gryffindor and got a magic wand at the end!

The sock accident By Meg I was annoyed earlier because I had not quite woken up in a good mood. I was lying on the couch when - BAM!! - I was hit in the face by a flying pair of socks! Dad had thrown them to me intending to let me catch them but I didn't see them coming. I think they were a pretty hard pair of socks because they were Dad's. Trying to make up for the pair of socks that I missed, Mum tossed some to me, more gently this time but they went above me...

On Friday we saw part of the Changing of the Guard ceremony for Buckingham Palace. The marching and music was very impressive!

We went onto a bus trip to the eye. For Meg and Dad, the Eye was thrilling and for Mum and Tom, the arcade was awesome. Tom enjoyed bowling (although he found it hard because there were no bumpers). Everyone learned valuable lessons about history. Firstly, it is stupid if you're in the early 1900s to decide to take what seems like a very cool cruise ship that does not have any defense against icebergs. Secondly, do not do things that could cause a fire in London ...
