'citylife's a beach' (Written (very) ex post- using diary extracts) Spend a couple of nights in Brisbane, and get some much needed clothes washing done. Go the clock-tower of the town hall for a view, and spend a few hours wandering. Walk over to the southbank- which is a really nice part of the city, and visit the artificial beach on the river.

'fraser island fun' Spent a few days on a tour to fraser island, which is 'the world's largest sand island', and is just off the coast of the east coast- north of brisbane. although the weather isn't great it's really pretty amazing, as although the entire island is a series of sand dunes, it is covered in vegitation, and has proper rainforest in its centre. swim in its fresh water lakes and trek about the forests.

'talking with turtles' Spent a short time in cairns, and although the place is a bit touristy, have managed to do a couple of really good day trips- to both the surrounding rainforest and the great barrier reef. in the rainforest i did loads of swimming and general splashing about in creeks and waterfalls, which was really good. i also managed to get out to the great barrier reef, and did some amazing snorkeling. saw loads of tropical fish, all the picture postc...
