'surfing to sydney'

After Brisbane I headed to Byron Bay, where I get to do some surfing in conditions that turned out to be pretty rough. However, I manage to paddle onto some waves myself and get up onto the board- good fun. Stay with Veneet for a few days in Sydney. I spend lots of time walking about seeing all the landmarks and attractions- including a point when I am walking along the main quay, and on turning a corner the opera house appears right in front of me- it's one of those moments where a world famous sight/landmark hits you quite unexpectedly. Also, while in Sydney, walk over the harbour bridge, go to Manly, Bondi Beach, watch some rugby at Ozzie Stadium, and drink too much Victoria Bitter beer...
