The long return flight day. Started off easy with a nice breakfast & shuttle ride to the airport. Security processes have changed a lot in 5 years, & even though we had our boarding passes, everyone goes thru “check-in” to have passports reviewed & paper stamp added. Then thru security without issue. Zurich airport reminded us of Vegas with lots of fancy stores & lights to help you leave some money there. We were early, so had a light lunch & wandered a bit before heading thru yet another passport check to the boarding gates. United then did another passport check of people in the waiting area.
Our return plane was a 787 Dreamliner, & I have to say it was nice! Econ+ works out ok on the way home, with movies to watch & enough snacks & liquids.
We actually arrived early & were hoping to catch an earlier Boise flight, but alas, no gate for us! Finally off at expected time & our first time thru Global Entry was slick. Got thru to find the Boise flight was rescheduled an hour earlier, plus left early. Curses!

Our 8:30 flight turned into a 9:50 flight departure, making another waiting game. Finally home about 1:30am. Return flights are not part of the joys of traveling! Boise burst into bloom while we were gone, with tons of irises waiting for us.
