Landed in Adelaide to an airless heatwave.....woke up next morning to grey skies and more if that wind which seems to follow us! Delightful drive thru' the Fleurie Peninsular, which could have been Devon, and arrived at Goolwa to get on board our very own paddle steamer....it was permanently moored on the mouth of the Murray river, we had two bedroom, a galley, a big lounge and multiple decks which were useful as one got us out of that darn wind! It was so charm...

Photo was our last stop in Western Australia..great cabin by the beach.....we left there in heavy winds...the whole coast had gales. We pitched ourself at a Perth airport hotel...ha ha Meals were awful...tom chose veggie curry, but ordered chicken extra...it turned up veggie curry with fried chicken nuggets added to the curry..made us laugh!! We've loved Western Australia...it's vast...I feel there's so much we haven't covered...how can you..you need six months...

Isn't it annoying when you type something up and it disappears. Well starting this again..... Blowing a gale so yesterday was a day for touring......up and out early with wind in our sails we headed north..... Greenough historic settlement was first stop.....a thought provoking meander thru 1800- 1900 Greenough, which had a police station, schools, churches , cottages, goal etc...all buildings left as they were with no tarting up....the gaol photo above....co...

Breathalised again.....that three times in two weeks....tom must hold the record! The last today was at ten in the morning..... I think my cousin mike made the comment"is it to do with his driving?".....ha ha.... This has been a pleasant stay...cabin on the beach.....bluer than blue seas.... The usual wind of course...wind has followed us since we left heathrow!! But lovely hot weather so the wind has been pleasant until the afternoon when it seems to build ...
